Shifts and Oncalls are entered by setting up suitable templates over periods of up to 13 weeks at a time. Staff are then auto-assigned with any appropriate rest periods. The Dual Gantt chart above shows at the top staff allocated to a particular duty and below all Martels activities in that period. This overview is invaluable when needing to make rapid changes such as staff swaps.
1) A Diary that manages leave requests & events providing extensive management reports.

The diary module works in its simplest form as a conventional diary. But it logs tracks and records each individuals events as well as departmental activities.But the real power comes in setting up ‘Away Groups’ and then assigning staff to one or more groups to impose limits to the number away. Users are kept informed by a traffic light system which can be interrogated before allowing or disallowing bookings.

3) Publishes myriad rots for all staff, groups, or individuals using  the Database, Excel and the intra or internet.

There are hundreds of reports that can be generated and exported from RotaTrack. These can be used in Excel, Browsers, SQL, ODBC etc. The example shows an Intranet Theatre Rota which is auto-published whenever changes are made. Note that multiple weeks are available.

4) Reports, records & plans using 3,000+ fields & tables. Trial changes in advance. Report on every aspect of Training, Leave or Duties.

With 3,500+ fields and tables there is no shortage of information. We do however impose sensible limits. We can take in external data from other system or export available data for use elsewhere linking to other programs as required. One user was able to project the effects of increasing service provision with and without increases in staffing levels in Anaesthetics. Areas analysed included service, teaching, supervision, & hours worked. This has enabled a controlled migration to a new service profile maintaining the required teaching.
